Re-alignments
No Changes
Nothing changed
in the Fort Bend ISD district the only other ten team district in
Region III. You can expect on the field power struggles between
Austin, Clements, Dulles, Ekins, Kempner, Travis and possibly
Hightower. The other programs will need to continue to work hard on
their core skills and develop pitching to compete year in and year
out. (State Champions – Elkins 3, Dulles 1).

A.J. Glasshof showed yet again
Friday night that he is one of the top pitchers in the
Houston area.
The Austin High School senior pitched a no-hitter with
15 strikeouts and zero walks in a 4-0 victory over
Marshall to help the Bulldogs stay in sole possession
of second place in District 23-5A.
Glasshof, who pitched a no-hitter against Alvin in the
first round of the playoffs last season, was perfect
with two outs to go in the seventh when a Marshall
player finally reached base. The batter swung and
missed at a high and tight pitch, which impeded the
catcher’s ability to make a clean catch.
The Bulldogs needed every bit of Glasshof’s gem thanks
to a great outing by Marshall’s Trey Simpson. Simpson
gave up four hits and struck out seven. Austin scored
two runs on Marshall errors.
Anthony DeJesus had two hits for Austin, and Tyler
Morvant had one RBI. Fort Bend Sun
