H5AB Recognizes Sean Stacy in the Other
Fantanstic Performances in week #4
Pitched complete game against Fort Bend Hightower with 9Ks, 3 hits and no
walks
3-14 Fort Bend Bulldogs dominate Hightower in 5 - 0
victory. Sean Stacy brought his A game to Wednesday night's win over the
Hightower Hurricanes with 9Ks, 3-hits and no walks. Brian Martin called
another great game frm the catcher's spot with a mix of pitches that simply
kept the Hurricanes off balance. The Hurricanes flame thrower Charles
Philpott did a great job of keeping the Bulldog bats relatively quiet for 3
innings, but after that the Bulldogs jumped off the porch and put the bats
to work. Incredibly strong defensive plays by Bulldog 3B Logan Blanchfield,
SS Cody Brown and CF Chad Henry contributed to holding the Hurricanes to
just 3-hits.
3-13-12Sophomore at Dulles Sophomores won 5-3. Strong
pitching after slow start and bats come to life after 5 innings. Powell hit
one off fence to score Kilgore and tie game 2-2, Dulles comes back in bottom
half of inning to go ahead 3-2. Rivera and Gilson both singled early to cut
lead. Then Harris and Steele get walked, Rivera triples to give Bulldogs
lead 4-3. Rivera later scores to give Bulldogs 5-3 win. Great bottom of 7th
pitching from Ryan Stacy and great team defense.
2012 - 23-5A - BULLDOGS EXPECTING GREAT THINGS
In 2012 the Bulldogs return 5 players to the starting
varsity team, which makes this year’s varsity, team a young,
but talented one. Five key returning starters to keep an eye
on include Seniors Cody Brown (IF/OF/P), Jarrod Boyle
(P/3B), Chad Henry (CF), Junior - Sean Stacy (P/SS) and
Sophomore - Trevor Mykelbust (C/P/OF). With these core 5 and
the addition of left handed pitcher Mark Baughman (Junior),
strong utility player Brady Langston (Junior), catcher and
pitcher Brian Martin (Junior) and IF / P Logan Blanchfield
(Sophomore) the Bulldogs could be the surprise team in the
district.
Coaches and fans are expecting great things from this core
starting line-up during 2012. The coaches have also stacked
this team with plenty of depth at all positions including
arms for the mound. First year varsity pitchers including
Eric Abney, Joe Morris, Pablo Maldonado, Scott Brown, and Bo
Sheridan will see plenty of action on the mound while Sean
Pringle, Chris Miller, Tyler Hopson and Matt McQuillan bring
a BIG bat to the plate and depth at key positions. All of
these players have worked extremely hard in off-season
programs and it has shown during pre-season scrimmages. The
District may be competitive, but don’t count these DAWGS
out!
