The Bulldogs again received strong pitching from AJ Glasshoff and enough hitting to lead to an easy victory.AJ fanned 5 of 8 Vikings thru 2 innings, giving up 1 unearned run in his last inning of work (AJ was on a strick pitch count headed into our first district game on Mon). Luke Mulkahey got the game started reaching on an error by the left fielder. Scott Duncan followed with a single to right center. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Eric Schweiger reached base on an error by the right fielder scoring Luke. AJ Glasshoff capped off the scoring in the 1st with a double to right center scoring 2 runs. Bulldogs lead after 1 inning 3 to zero. No runs for the Bulldogs in the 2nd but Eric S got the bats going again in the 3rd with a leadoff double. An error on the first baseman put runners on the corners for Eric H who delivered with a single to left scoring 1 run. Tyler Simon finished off the scoring in the 3rd reaching on a fielders choice and scoring on an error. Dulles put their 1st run across scoring on a 2 out error. End of 3 has it Bulldogs 6, Vikings 1. The Bulldogs pushed across 2 more runs in the top of the 4th, ending the scoring for the Bulldogs. Taylor Ramarath came on in relief to pitch the 4th and 5th innings surrendering 1 run to make the score Bulldogs 8 and the Vikings 2. Clint Van Tilborg came in to close out the game in the bottom of the 6th. The first 2 batters reached on late swing bloopers to right field. The next batter was hit by an inside curve ball, bases loaded. The #8 batter then stroked a single to left center scoring 2 runs and then advanced to second on the throw to 3rd. Strikeout, groundout, and a popup to 3rd ended the rally for the Vikings.
