Atascosita Eagles Top the Bulldogs, 9-1

After beating Seven Lakes 4 to 3 in the opening game of the Fort Bend Tournament on Thursday, the Bulldogs dropped a 9-1 decision to the Atascosita Eagles Friday night at Travis to square their record at 1-1.

The Eagles siezed control of the game early, taking advantage of three Bulldog errors to mount an early lead and never looked back, bolstered by the pitching of Khende, who held the Bulldogs to 5 hits over 5 innings.

The Bulldogs finally got on the scoreboard in the fourth inning, when 3B James Sullivan reached base on a single, advancing to second and third with stolen bases before bringing home the Bulldogs only run on a sacrifice by P Gerardo Hernandez. But it was too little too late for the Bulldogs, as the Eagles continued to play error free baseball in their victory.

The next game for the Bulldogs will be Saturday, Feb. 28th at 10:00 AM at Elkins.
