Tryouts for incoming freshmen for the Austin Off Season program are Usually held in April at Austin High School .  All interested players that will be attending Austin High School in the fall of 2011 are invited.  Players must have a completed AND notarized copy of the Medical Release and a player contract prior to being allowed to try out.  Please go to http://www.ftbendbaseball.com/  for the necessary forms.  All players must bring their own equipment and should have cleats and tennis shoes for the tryout.

It’s time to starting preparing for Summer Baseball. There will be a tryout date set after a meeting this Sunday with the summer coaches. Please check this website regularly for updated dates. I do want to clarify the summer baseball program. It has been traditionally called Mickey Mantle, it is not affiliated with the Mickey Mantle organization. The program is the “Off Season Baseball Program” for students attending Austin High School in the following Fall semester. The teams created will play in the Fort Bend Baseball League. The FBBL projects games Usually starting May for freshmen teams and June for upper classmen teams. The league will end @ July.
