Tryouts for
incoming freshmen for the Austin High School off season league run
through Ft. Bend Baseball Association often referred to as “Mickey
Mantle” will be held on
4/25/10 at 2:00 pm at
Austin High School baseball field. The purpose of this
league is to place together players that are interested in playing
baseball on the school teams in the spring of 2011. Players that
are going to be in the sophomore, junior or senior class and have not played for Austin High
School in the past may also tryout at that time.
Former players do not need to tryout but are required to turn in
their registration
forms on 4/25 during the freshmen tryout time.
It is important that the medical release form be notarized prior
to bringing it to registration.
All
players should wear baseball appropriate pants and cleats, they
must have their own glove, bat and helmet. Those trying out for
catcher should have their own catchers gear. All players should
bring sufficient water for a three hour session.
